5 Ways to Style Baskets in a Hamptons Home

The use of baskets work beautifully in a Hamptons-style home for a few different reasons. First, they bring in natural textures and materials. The second reason they work well in that they’re casual and effortless, which is, of course, a hallmark of Hamptons style, and they’re functional as well.

There are so many different ways to use jute and other woven, natural baskets.

CONSOLE TABLES

They can be used under console tables in hallways or entryways as a place for additional storage, and to add a layered look and feel.

BATHROOMS & LAUNDRIES

In bathrooms, a jute basket or a set of baskets can hold extra towels and linens or other supplies. Baskets can go on shelves to hold books, magazines, or similar items, and they can go in spaces such as laundry rooms for additional storage.

BEDROOM & LIVING ROOMS

Adding baskets to the end of a bed can take the place of a bed ottoman, and you can add additional cushions or throw blankets. Also use them as chic storage for kindling for a fireplace, style a bookcase with textural woven baskets or use them to store throws or cushions.

PLANTS

Finally, consider using baskets planters for something like a fig leaf tree or a similar indoor plant for a textural element to your space.
