Jacinta wanted something that wasn’t the typical beachy style but was still heavily influenced by the coastal lifestyle and aesthetic, which we were able to help her achieve.
Working with Jacinta’s objectives of a light, fresh and smart home, we were able to help her find the perfect furniture and décor pieces that looked the way she envisioned and were also functional and able to work well with her lifestyle.
In particular, she loved our navy linen upholstery option for many of her furnishings which was not only quintessential Hamptons style but a practical colour for her beloved pooch Frank.
We had the opportunity to speak with Jacinta about her experience working with Lavender Hill Interiors, detailing everything from the use of our mood boards to bringing together her aesthetic.

I believe you have totally revamped your style when moving from your family home into this coastal apartment in Watsons Bay - why have you chosen Hamptons style?
"I chose a Hamptons style because I wanted something smarter than a beach style but still coastal. I wanted fresh, light and smart."

How did you come across LHI?
"Through very strong recommendations from friends who have bought some furniture from Lavender Hill and love it."

Which pieces have you found are your ‘cant live without’ pieces?
"The Bobbin Armchairs are very, very comfortable and the White 3 Drawer Console Table is perfect at the front door.
I have put a Navy Linen Footstool at the end of the White Hamptons Coffee Table and they fit together perfectly."

What were your considerations in purchasing your new furniture?
"In particular I chose the Navy Linen sofas and armchairs because I have a dog who can make a bit of a mess of my furniture and the Navy Linen hides all sorts of marks until I can remove them."

The Navy Linen Roll Arm sofa in a 2 seater. Also available in 3 seater. Jacinta felt due to the size of her living space and the need to have room for the armchairs, the 2 seater worked perfectly in her space.

We love how you have pulled your living room together - did you do this on your own and what prompted your colour choices?

"I wanted the white furniture for the coastal look and to keep the rooms bright. I chose the Navy Linen primarily because of the dog.
I put this all together myself with the help of the staff at LHI, the helpful pictures and customer photos on the website and the free linen swatches sent to me."

Did you find our mood boards and blogs helpful?
"Yes, very helpful. However I needed some help and the staff were wonderful. Visiting the showroom is great but also helpful was being able to Facetime as well. I could show the staff my space. I know they aren't interior designers but they know their range very well."

I do have to ask - are you loving this gorgeous place with its' amazing views and light?
"I absolutely love it."

What would you recommend to others considering a full furniture style makeover?
"Buy what you love and don't worry about the small things. Everything doesn't have to match exactly."

Very happy with my Navy Linen Wingback Armchair. It suits the spot perfectly! The quality is excellent! I was a bit anxious about delivery as it was delayed and the delivery company rang an hour before to say they were coming! All good though and it was packaged well!

Hamptons Happiness! I love the height of the chair and footstool. I enjoy sitting back with my feet up and cat on my lap. The footstool is much bigger than my previous one. The fur kids gave them the seal of approval within ten minutes. Service and delivery from Sydney to the Gold Coast was excellent.
